It’s that time again!!! Some of you may know my friend Jenna and her Easter Basket Project, going on 10+ years strong! If you don’t know about her project, every year, Jenna organizes and pulls together a community effort to fill Easter Baskets for families served by Wellspring Women's Center. (Read more about Jenna's story HERE.)This year, the goal again is to put together 200+ baskets for babies to teens. Along with the usual candy overload and other fun items, Jenna always includes books. The Kitchen Table is excited to again coordinate the book drive to fill these baskets with books that kids will want to read! We'll be working with Wild Sister Book Co again to pull together some quality books that kids will want to read.
We are matching all monetary donations and 100% of the money will go towards purchasing books. Donations in all amounts are welcome.
If you would like to donate actual books, we’re looking for NEW (or GENTLY USED) books, in all age ranges but especially for readers in the 2-5 year old and 10-13 year old age range: there has been a big request for more manga and graphic novels! We respectfully ask for NEW books, although if you have some GENTLY USED books in excellent condition, we’ll take those as well! (By EXCELLENT CONDITION, we mean: no torn cover, no writing inside, no ripped pages, no grease stains, no excessive dog earing of pages, etc).
DEADLINE : March 14! Thank you!
